HOW TO WIRE  IN-LINE FEED THROUGH SWITCH?

Once you’ve decided where you want the switch to be installed, you’ll need to cut a hole in the outer plastic to reveal the two wires inside.

To do so, score the cable all the way around with a utility knife. It’s important not to cut the inner wires during this phase. Only the outside plastic shell should be destroyed.

Try to make a second incision about 1 inch from the first. Just score all the way around cord this time.

Last but not the least, cut between the two score points. Make sure parallel to the cord.

The plastic and sleeve should now be able to be peeled back. If not, make the slit a little deeper.

Finally, wrap the cut plastic parts in electrical tape to keep them from fraying.
