WHAT IS A TABLE LAMP SWITCH?
The table lamp switch is a type of switch used for lamps being installed on a table, floor, or wall.
Typically, an in-line lamp cord switch is used to connect the lamp and wire plug, providing people better access to turn lights on and off.
It can also control other lighting devices within a room, such as speakers, swag lights, projectors, and picture lights.
In a word, the two-pole connection table switch is an ideal choice for office, home, and bedroom.
HOW TO INSTALL A CORD-LINE SWITCH?
The first step is to know the maximum amps that will be drawn on the cord, and choose the right lamp cord switch which fits the amps.
Second, mark the wire so you can cut out the length to wire with the cord switch.
Third, carefully slice the coverings between the two conductors of the wire. Ensure that you haven’t cut into the copper conductor.
Fourth, strip the wire back about 3/4 of an inch with a wire stripper. Tin the wire ends so that conductor won’t spread out under the terminal.
All you are left to do now is make sure the neutral wire is in the N slot and the hot wire is in the L slot.
Lastly, gently slip the wire into each contact slot and tighten the screws until they are secure.
